Here at Wickes we are looking to recruit an Operational Analyst to support the operations to better manage performance, keeping in contact with Customers and those key participants of a showroom project (designer, installer, fulfilment channel) through data loading comms. This role will also involve working with the customer experience team to develop improvements and provide reporting mechanisms to track the effect of changes. It is also focused on continual improvement, within its own role or through reporting output and projects to enable operational efficiency gains, improvement in customer satisfaction and reducing our costs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Understanding the operational needs and business goals of the company

  • Collecting relevant data from within the company and from clients

  • Creating databases for data storage and future access

  • Adhering to company policies and legal requirements in relation to data collection

  • Analysing data through a variety of statistical methods and models, from spreadsheets to graphs

  • Presenting data and recommendations to senior management teams

  • Tracking the progress of operational changes that are implemented across the company through key performance indicators

  • Contribute to enhancing existing reports to increase efficiency and effectiveness

  • Work closely with operational leads to verify and communicate accuracy of data

  • Document and develop new data processes

What are we looking for:

  • Enthusiastic, proactive attitude, with a flexible approach and the ability to multitask

  • Good attention to detail, process driven and methodical

  • Flexibility and the ability to work on more than one task

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Experience using statistical and database software

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong multitasking and time management skills

  • Prioritise workload to ensure deadlines are met

  • Work experience as a reporting analyst or in related field (1 year minimum)

  • Experience of Google Sheets, Zendesk, Voicesage, Business Objects/Data Lakes

  • Able to work on a rotational shift pattern over 6 / 7 days
