About us
Five Rivers Child Care is a Social Enterprise that has been turning children’s lives around since 1989. We offer a range of supportive, safe environments for children and young people whose mainstream and other school settings have not worked. Our Ofsted registered and rated independent schools around England offer various academic, vocational, SEN and disabilities (SEND) options.
Our work environment includes:
- Safe work environment
- Growth opportunities
- Remote
At 1ACE Virtual our friendly, supportive, and diverse teaching team offers high-quality online teaching that develops the whole pupil by adopting both a therapeutic and academic approach to ensure they achieve the best possible learning experience. Each lesson is individually planned and delivered by our team of qualified teachers who are experienced in the mainstream, SEND and trauma-informed educational needs.
All lessons are live and usually delivered on a 1 to 1 basis. We teach in line with the national curriculum framework and boast a wealth of knowledge and experience in primary, secondary and alternative education specialisms. Our teachers are appreciated for their unique contributions and dedication, and the outcomes the pupils achieve are truly rewarding and motivating.
1ACE Virtual is the Five Rivers nationwide virtual education platform. We work closely with schools and local education authorities to offer quick response flexible, bespoke, step-up, step-down education packages for children missing education due to several reasons, such as placement changes, LEA transitions, school changes and wellbeing.
We are currently looking to employ secondary teachers with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our friendly team to teach pupils usually on a one-to-one basis. A specialism or experience in teaching English or Maths at KS3 and KS4, or to pupils with SEMH needs and SEND would be an advantage. You would need to have the willingness to teach other National Curriculum subjects, when required, where you will be fully supported by our subject coordinators. This position is based in the Northwest of England to help support and take part in team meetings.
Some of our busiest teaching times are after school and during the early evening, and it is essential that you are willing to adopt flexible finishing times when required. Experience in teaching online is advantageous but not essential as full training will be given. This is mainly a home-based position, but we will require you to travel on occasion, therefore, a driving licence and use of a car are essential requirements for this position.
