Job title: Online Gallery Manager
Region: Brighton and Hove
Hours per week: 22.5hrs per week
Contract Type: Fixed term till 31st March 2024
Salary: £27,125 per annum FT equivalent. Salary Band 3
Introduction: The Active Lives programme delivers fun and engaging activities to people with learning disabilities and/ or autism in our day centre in Hove and other community settings (across Brighton & Hove). We are proud of our strong track-record in promoting creativity and the arts within Grace Eyre and the wider community.
This online gallery is a new endeavour for Grace Eyre, that we are determined to be a success. We have future ambition to utilize this gallery as a way for the students that we work with selling their artwork; as well as promote themselves.
Brief outline of the role: You will need experience in exhibiting and curating exhibitions. You will have a strong background in visual arts practice and the issues surrounding the presentation of various kinds of art, e.g. textiles, fine art and ceramics. You will need strong IT skills and be highly organized to do this role.
Grace Eyre will be working with you to determine a suitable online and accessible platform to launch this online gallery through. The aim is to have the start of an “live website” by March 2024 promoting the work of artists with learning disabilities and/ or autism.

You will have experience in working with artists and a positive attitude to solve problems. Experience in photography would be attractive. You will have a demonstrable commitment to supporting excluded and marginalized artists.
