Job description
We are looking for a creative individual with a passion for online retail and second-hand fashion to join our growing Online Team as an Online E-Commerce Assistant. This is a great opportunity if you are looking to start a career and develop your skills in e-commerce.
Our ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a good understanding of online selling platforms such as eBay, Depop, Vinted and a wide fashion knowledge base.
Key Responsibilities
- Researching & pricing items prior to online listing
- Writing accurate descriptions for listings
- Preparing and steaming clothing items for online sale
- Picking, packing and dispatching sold items
- Unpacking and sorting deliveries & donated goods
- Carrying out any other duties within the purpose of the job as requested by the Line Manager
To be successful in this role, our ideal candidate will have:
- Online trading experience, This could be working in a previous e-commerce role or even selling your own pre-loved items via platforms such as eBay, Depop & Vinted.
- Ability to be an excellent team player
- Ability to manage a busy workload
- Experience of working with targets
- Excellent eye for detail with a good knowledge of past, present and upcoming styles and fashion trends
- Excellent knowledge of clothing brands
- Ability to use own initiative and work under own supervision
- Excellent time management
Hours:
Monday – Friday / 8:00 - 16:30 / No Weekends
The ideal candidate will be available to work 24 hours per week split over 3 days. However this is negotiable.
This role is on-site based at our Northampton branch.
Due to the nature of this role we are unable to offer WFH / Hybrid working.

Development Aid from People to People UK is a registered charity founded in 2007. We aim to provide support to development projects focused on the relief of poverty and the development of the poorer populations in Africa and India specially through educational and environmental projects.
