About The Service
Customer and Digital Services are part of the Resources Directorate. The service is home to the council’s contact centre C2C who handle phone calls, web chats, social media contact and online forms from the public on behalf of other council services. The service sets the council’s customer service standards and rolls out training to all areas of the council to raise and maintain excellent customer service levels for all customers. The service is also home to ICT and wider digital services teams who lead on the council’s digital agenda driving forward new and innovative ways of working internally and across the city to support all residents and customers. The service is responsible for the council’s corporate website www.cardiff.gov.uk, the Cardiff Gov app and the virtual assistant (chat bot).
About the job
Facilitating the development and maintenance of high quality customer centered digital content on the council's websites, app and chatbot. This position will be predominantly home-based with some office time required when appropriate and safe to do so.
What We Are Looking For From You
We are looking for a Online content designer to take ownership of user research, interviews, and surveys, who can translate findings from data and evidence into user flows, customer journey maps, mockups, and prototypes. You will use these methods to improve user experience across core functionality and new features of our key digital channels. You must follow a user-centric design approach and believe in inclusive digital service design. A good team player with a positive attitude who can manage their time effectively across a number of digital projects. You must be well-organised, punctual and a self-starter.
