Job Description Summary
The Offshore Wind Marine Operations Package Manager will be closely working with the services and project management team by defining an optimized marine strategy for the construction and service phases of the various projects in Execution. He will be responsible to setup a solid marine operation set up with respect to environment, health and safety and drive quality and productivity enhancements to continuously improve performance and customer satisfactory.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Reviewing the project tender requirements and optimize marine logistic costs and strategy
- Coordinate with project management office and O&M site team to define the marine operations strategy for the commissioning and services phases including the onshore port logistics
- Provide technical specifications, scope of work for vessels services
- Support the sourcing teams to launch requests for quotes and tender to potential vessel supplier and negotiations during the supply contract closure
- Establish all required documentations (Marine logistic plan, Marine Operations and Coordination procedures) ready for start of operations offshore safely
- Manage suppliers’ contract and services performance in terms of safety, quality, documentations, cost and process compliance
- Monitor execution performance and provide expert advice to the project management office and operational teams to optimize logistic/performance
- Participate in process, quality improvement, business and cost out initiatives and provide feedback on lessons learned to the business
- Define turbines major component exchange vessels strategy, prepare associated contracts and execute operations with Vessel mobilization and Marine engineering documentations
- Interface responsible towards EHS for marine operations at sea and Marine Coordination Center
- Ensure risk identification, analysis and mitigation plan within the area of responsibility
- Be operational contract owner towards vessel owners , customers and other agreements/contracts
- Follow up and reporting of contract and marine operations KPI’s in preparation and execution
- Point of contact for all marine operations related topics for involved parties such like Port, vessel owner/operators, local authorities, customer representatives, GE teams including responsible towards Compliance GE and local regulations for marine operations
Qualifications/Requirements
- Maritime background, preferably within the offshore industry with +5 years of experience
- Proven knowledge of offshore operations or offshore wind projects;
- Technical or marine commercial education at MSc level (e.g. engineer in naval architecture, marine officer/engineer)
- Proven ability to work in a cross-functional and global environment with remote teams
- Strong team player
- Experienced and poise when dealing with customers
- Ability and willingness to travel international
- Fluently in English language
Eligibility Requirements
- Extensive experience in maritime construction and/or Offshore projects, preferably offshore wind experience.

- Proven offshore wind experience or experience in a related discipline
