Due to a considerable period of growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for employment as an Offshore Medic. We are looking for professional, dedicated, motivated and adaptable medics to take up that position. All levels of experience are welcome to apply.
What you’ll do:
- Manage sick bay appointments and ongoing medical case management.
- Manage medical equipment and medical supplies.
- Manage medevac requirements.
- Carry out OEUK and Emergency Response Team medicals.
- Carry out Occupational Health Surveillance requirements.
- Conduct infectious disease testing (such as COVID-19)
- Deliver infectious disease vaccination programme.
- Review requirements of COSHH Assessments and ensure compliance.
- Carry out first aid training for onsite Emergency Response Team, First Aider and stretcher parties.
- Participate in incident investigations if required.
- Conduct inventory checks and medical audits
About you:
- You must be eligible to work in the UK
- Proof of an Offshore Medic Certificate course and an Offshore Survival Certificate (BOSIET) course, both approved by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
- Valid Oil and Energies UK (OEUK) Offshore Medical Certificate. This involves passing a medical examination which classifies you as medically fit to work in the offshore environment.
- MIST (Minimum Industry Safety Training Standard) Qualification
- Must be either a Registered General Nurse with NMC and worked in an acute care setting, HCPC registered Paramedic or Military Medic (RAMC CMT Class 1, LMA, RAF Medic)
- Satisfactory criminal record check
