We want you to become Experts for when we launch in March 2023, likely to spend first 12/18 x months commuting to France to assimilate in to our team and the GE Renewables business and importantly learn/commission the new Haliade - X.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Execute the tasks agreed with the Commissioning Team Leader and Commissioning Shift Leader.
- Be able to create or revise the procedures for commissioning.
- Provide technical support, advice and instructions to other commissioning technicians and contractors.
- Report technical deviations.
- Organization of spare parts, equipment and tooling for the jobs.
- Provide regular reports on commissioning status.
- Execute commissioning tasks in a safe and timely manner in accordance with the contract, budget and time schedule.
- Follow the handover between installation and commissioning phases, turbine inspections, preservations, preassembly, punch list check-up.
- Guarantee the fulfilment of EHS rules on site.
- Encourage the involvement and participation of members in their area of responsibility, in making suggestions for improvements in order to avoid accidents.
Essential Requirements
- Technical degree education or equivalent work experience required in electrical field - knowledge of operation of WTG systems such as Pitch system, Yaw system, cooling circuits, elevator, hydraulic systems.
- English language
- Offshore Wind experience.
- Proven experience on reporting, documentation management.
- Ability to prepare and follow Tests and documentation check lists, test plans.
- Ability to secure quality assurance and environmental processes.
- Knowledge of specification, design, maintenance, construction and commissioning of wind industry and offshore industry.
- Electrical knowledge, able to draw schematics.
- PC knowledge of Microsoft applications as well as industrial and management software.
- Able to work at heights, Helicopter transfers, Vessel transfers.
- Ability to work offshore (Offshore medical certificate, Sea Survival, Wind Turbine full rescue course provided by GE).
- Prepared to carry out work in a confined space
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised as well as in a team environment
- Proven ability to lead and work in a team and contractors’ environment
Desired Characteristics
- Basic French, Basic Spanish
- Commissioning experience with Wind Turbines
- Knowledge in mechanics.
