WHAT WE DO
We are a full-service creative digital agency. Our people, technology and insights help global media and entertainment, sports and lifestyle brands create, manage, localise, distribute and place their content and evaluate its media reach.
LOCALISATION SERVICES
DMS delivers a full range of adaptation and localisation services to major film studios across the globe from its central London base. Our services include subtitling, dubbing, editing, colour-grading and visual effects for promotional materials to support worldwide feature film releases for use in cinema and online.
RUNNING THE ROLE
Our in-house runner is part of our small Admin team and combines reception cover with office duties. You are pivotal in making sure that the office environment is running smoothly and that includes everything from toilet checks to arranging staff events. No two days are the same and you will be on your feet and busy each day. Key to the role is that you don’t wait to be told what to do are a self-starter who thrives on doing an exemplary job.
- Providing a warm and professional welcome to important clients
- You will regularly be using a variety of software packages and backend systems including MS Office (Word/Excel), Survey Monkey, Lucidchart, Wordpress. While we don’t expect to have experience using them all an aptitude for assimilating new skills and general competency in this area is important
- Answering a busy switchboard professionally, taking messages and transferring calls
- Dispatching and collecting items on request both in house and out of house; delivering post and general requests from staff
- Managing stocks and supplies, arranging orders where necessary; ensuring refreshments, stationery and general office equipment are all well stocked
- Keeping reception, rest areas, meeting rooms and offices clean, tidy and well presented
- Welcoming clients and providing refreshments for meetings and clients
- Providing support to the senior team
- Assisting all employees with queries and helping to resolve any problems
- Assisting the manager with the smooth running of our offices
- Locking up the building at the end of your shift
- Repairing equipment, hanging pictures and performing other basic manual tasks
- Ad-hoc duties as required by the wider team
The role does require some shift work. The majority of the time you will work 1030 – 1900 but you will also need to cover our 0830 to 1700 shift from time to time and will be required to do some (paid) overtime on occasion.
Requirements
- Background in media, film or post-production
- Experience using a camera a bonus
- Good customer service skills and with a professional and friendly telephone manner
- Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Pro-active, forward-thinking and confident in using own initiative
- Enjoy helping people
- Hard worker
- Basic DIY/handiness skills a bonus
