Smart7 Accounting is an excellent Accountancy Practice based in Nottingham, providing first-rate services and offering a personal approach to a wide range of clients across many different industries. The company is looking to expand their team due to its ever-growing client base with the right candidate.

We’re looking for a dependable and energetic Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a fast-paced, professional environment and is able to provide high quality administrative and client service support.

As the successful candidate you will also have a pleasant telephone manner with a vibrant and social customer-service attitude. Excellent communication skills and have obtained GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at Grade 4 (C) or above and ideally would have some experience of using Microsoft Excel & Word. Some payroll knowledge would be an advantage to the ideal candidate but is not essential.

Duties include:

  • Ensuring clients paperwork is kept up-to-date
  • Communication with clients when required
  • Checking clients bring in the information that we require on a timely basis
  • Assisting with the processing of sales invoices for customers on completion of work
  • Processing basic bookkeeping transactions onto the system (following training and using our systems)
  • Running wage reports for directors

Qualifications

Who are we looking for?

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Keen attention to detail / high degree of accuracy
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Strong team-player, with a hands-on, proactive, professional, and service-oriented attitude
  • Ability to work on your own as well as part of a team
  • Some payroll experience (but not essential)

Job Type: Part-time Permanent

Part-time hours: 25 per week Tues-Thurs 9.30-17.00, Fri 9.30-2.00

Salary £20k pro rata
