An exciting Office Manager / HR Manager role has become available at a global not-for-profit membership association, which is the representative body for a metal industry. The association provides leadership in responsible production and recycling worldwide and promotes sustainable growing demand for batteries in addition to leading global research and innovation in green energy storage.
This is a permanent, full-time role, requiring up to 5 days working from the office based off of Oxford Street, with the flexibility to work from home up to 2 days a week. The salary falls between £45-55k DOE, however, there is possible flexibility.
The Office Manager / HR Manager will manage a small office of 10 staff in London, whilst liaising with other international offices in EU and US. The successful candidate will also be expected to carry out projects to modernise and align the internal systems to lead the transformation of Admin and IT processes and solutions consistently in all offices. Duties include:
Office Management
- Responsible for the efficient running of the office, liaising with the landlord, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all staff and compliance with relevant legislation.
- Modernising the IT and Admin systems; researching and implementing the best solutions for the business.
- Liaising with the Serviced Office Provider to ensure the office is maintained to a high standard and is a safe and comfortable environment for staff to work in.
- Health and Safety, Insurance renewal, managing the company credit card, managing the office budget.
HR duties
- Responsible for the management of HR for staff within the business.
- Acting as a GDPR.
Some Company Secretary duties
- Managing the Companies House details, dealing with filing and making sure the records are up to date.
- Dealing with the company pension.
Personal Assistant duties:
- Organising the board meetings, possibly attending them and taking minutes.
- Organising travel for the senior management, dealing with Visas and itineraries.
- Line management to the Part-Time Administrator.
Event Support
- Supporting the Events Manager with the organization of the industry-leading European conferences.
- Raising all sales invoices for membership, conferences and publications.
- Managing delegate registrations for conferences and workshops.
- Member engagement.
- Possibly attending a large event which is always held in Europe.
- Organising VAT registrations for events abroad.
- Helping with invoices in three different currencies.
Required experience:
-Proven previous experience in office management and HR.
-CIPD Level 3 is highly advantageous.
