Job description
Our office manager will be at the heart of our business, and will be crucial to the smooth running of it.
You will need to be highly organised, able to work in a structured way and able to tackle a myriad of different tasks and duties – often juggling several at the same time.
Your primary role is to be the central point of contact for everyone, have an overview of many different things, develop an in depth working knowledge of the business and its aims, and to pitch in wherever necessary to ensure the company operates smoothly.
You will need good secretarial skills, diary management experience, basic IT skills, proven written and communication skills, an ability to work closely with everyone in the business and to be able to undertake some project work occasionally. Some basic finance or bookkeeping experience would also be an advantage. You will also maintain the offices and facilities.
Specific functions and duties will include:
- Reception duties – answering calls, emails and letters.
- All-around secretarial duties.
- Being the point of contact for suppliers and ensuring office supplies and resources are restocked.
- Maintaining office policies and managing health and safety procedures.
- Keeping records of office expenditure.
- Diary and travel management.
- Meeting, conference and event planning.
- Being able to muck in with whatever is needed to keep the office running smoothly!
