We have an exciting opportunity arise for an Asset Manager to join the XMA team. This is a managerial and delivery role, part of the service desk senior management team that involves delivering the Asset management function. You will be responsible for day to day delivery, setting goals and objectives, creating and implementing policies and procedures, making decisions, solving problems, and evaluating/improving the performance of the function.
JOB SPECIFICATION: Asset Manager
The Asset Manager will be responsible for Creating , managing and delivering the ITIL 4 aligned Asset Management functions within the Service Desk and across multiple customers. You will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality and efficient services to meet the needs of the organisation and our customers. Develop, implement and deliver ITIL 4 aligned processes, policies, and procedures for Asset Management functions to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the department.
· Take ownership for escalations ensuring prompt response, timely updates and focus, working with other department where necessary to resolve the issue.
· Oversee delivery against budget and resource planning of the department, making recommendations for improvement as necessary.
· Identify additional revenue opportunities and ensure chargeable work opportunities are not missed.
· Oversee the asset management process, ensuring that assets and software are properly managed.
· Work with our sales and transition team to support the development of new bids and the transition into live operations.
· Stay current with industry trends and developments, ensuring that the Asset Management functions are utilising best practices, and, provide cover to other Itil practices within the service desk as required.
REQUIREMENTS: Asset Manager
This job description is not exhaustive and as a manager in the business you may be expected to take on adhoc projects and called upon to provide additional support or duties for the department or organisation which could be reasonably expected of your skill set and experience. Ideally you will have:
· ITIL v3 or v4 certified.
· 2 years in a similar technical asset management role.
· Have great people management skiills.
· Have used Kace, Ivanti or Service Now (or all 3)
