About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Office Manager - Operations to join our retail support office team. Based at our support centre in Bradford, West Yorkshire, it's a great time to join this fast paced and ever changing work environment. The role supports stores with measuring and understanding opportunities to improve sales, waste, availability and execution.
You’ll be responsible for liaising with the wider business within the Support Office to provide subject expertise in the design, build and launch of new customer and trading initiatives, plus have a short term tactical focussing on improvement of sales, waste, availability and execution.
You’ll provide operational support for all functions to drive operational improvement making things simpler for our colleagues and enabling stores to improve and trade the business.
Some of your responsibilities will include:- Working collaboratively and effectively with functions across the business to develop customer and colleague facing activities, ensuring they are fit for purpose and operationally efficient
- Being a point of contact for specialist operational knowledge for central stakeholders
- Being both proactive and reactive to operational issues, listening and responding in a timely and appropriate way.
- Reviewing the successfulness of the initiatives, finding ways to improve and work with other business areas to enhance / improve the customer offer
- Communicating with key stakeholders in a timely and engaging way providing them with factual and relevant information
- Working with store operations to raise awareness, provide support and operational excellence to bring a joined up thinking and enhance the team’s understanding and appreciation of the store activities
- Developing simplified ways of working to allow focus on service
- Understanding and gaining an appreciation of our business and the marketplace to build credibility with key stakeholders to allow you to influence their thinking and thought process for the operational initiatives to get the right fit for stores
- Understanding, managing and mitigating risks with key stakeholders to ensure minimal impact and disruption for our stores and customers
- Working cross functionally to support, land and deliver promotional and seasonal events into our stores getting it right first time
- Driving performance through management of key performance indicators, identifying root cause of under performance and opportunities to improve

About You
- Strong understanding of instore working practices and operations
- Operational Retail experience, preferably in an Operations Manager role or above
- Significant commercial understanding
- Excellent planning, prioritisation, facilitation skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Innovative free thinker – finding better ways of executing projects
- The ability to take ownership for delivery of the plans, delivering under pressure and in situations of ambiguity
