Greener Village is a charitable organization that has been caring for our Fredericton area community for over three decades. Greener Village increases food security in the Fredericton and surrounding area through its inclusive programmes and services. Our Vision is to provide access to high-quality foods and other products in a setting that promotes dignity, choice and self-esteem. Servicing the Greater Fredericton Area, we provide food relief to more than 1,600 families a month, approximately 5,000 people. We are committed to providing outstanding services to every person who visits our centre.

Position Purpose

The Office Manager will oversee and implement administrative procedures, establish work priorities, conduct analyses of administrative operations and co-ordinate the acquisition of administrative services and relevant supplies. The Office Manager also functions as the main user of our Raiser’s Edge software, overseeing the data entry and security of our receipting processes.

General day to day responsibilities and duties: These duties include but are not limited to the following:

· To serve as a liaison between staff members, donors and various agencies as required.

· To oversee and co-ordinate office administration procedures.

· To establish work priorities, delegate work to appropriate office support staff/volunteers and to ensure that set deadlines are met, following set procedures.

· To be responsible for developing, implementing and the maintenance of administration policies and procedures that will streamline current procedures resulting in overall efficiencies that compliment service delivery.

· To develop training programs and conduct training for staff members to ensure staff development and the continuation and enhancement of service delivery.

· To oversee and administer our donation receipting program using Raiser’s Edge.

· To oversee and administer the policies related to the release of any records under government access to information and privacy legislation.

· To manage staff time sheets, banking requirements and donation reconciliation.

· To conduct regular analyses of administrative operations as it relates to project planning, contracting and general office and administrative procedures.

· To maintain current and historical data and provide regular monthly reports noting recommendations for enhancements, administrative concerns and highlights, staff training completed and any other pertinent issues.

· To perform other duties as directed by the CEO, Director of Finance or designate.

Education and Experience

· Successful candidates for this position require a diploma or combination of relevant education, professional experience, and industry training

· Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in related office management positions

· Clean Criminal Record Check

· Raiser’s Edge Experience an asset

Possess excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills; critical thinking skills to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems; high proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; ability to work in a fast paced environment with multi-faceted demands and deadlines; strong organizational skills and detail oriented, yet flexible with an adaptable personal style; ability to motivate and inspire others; have strong customer service skills and willingness to assist others; valid driver’s license; flexibility to attend meetings and events in evenings and/or on weekends.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $43,000.00 per year
