Anglesey Aggregates as part of their restructuring plans are looking for a suitably qualified person to undertake the role of an Office and Weighbridge Manager.
Role Responsibility
Reporting to the Quarry Directors, duties include will include general and sales administration, monitoring site reception and overlooking the day to day running of the weighbridge: processing invoices, controlling debtors and creditors, preparing time sheets. Commercial input by verbal and written quotations, liaising with customers internally and externally. The successful candidate will also:
- Be responsible for general administration tasks including answering/making calls, emailing, speaking with stakeholders both internal/external
- Attend regular meetings on site, as required
- Ticket lorries in and out of site
- Be responsible for maintaining the high records of safety expectations of the site.
- Be able to demonstrate a good understanding of recording accurate Health and Safety records.
- Ensure that all information is up to date and accurate when inputted into the system.
- Regularly review all systems and processes associated with weighbridge duties and implement best practice in line with the business needs.
- Will be responsible for accurately keeping records of the Quarry Quality Assurance systems and liaising with local testing laboratories.
- To liaise with the production contractors on a daily basis
- Be able to communicate with customers and be able to provide verbally and written quotes on a regular basis.
- To follow up all potential customer leads
- Be prepared to visit customers as and when required.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience within a similar working environment and possess excellent administrative skills. Other requirements would include:
- Good communication skills when talking with customers, clients and co workers
- Good written skills
- Being IT literate – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project) knowledge is essential
- Planning and organising skills
- An understanding of vehicle delivery scheduling and of transport planning systems
- Have a commercial acumen
- Knowledge of distribution processes
- Be familiar with basic bookkeeping.
- Able to ensure that timesheets are prepared on time.
- To ensure that that debtors are within trading terms.
- To ensure that creditors are paid on time every time.
- Be able to have a good working relationship with other employees.
- A good knowledge of the geographical area
- An advantage to have knowledge of the aggregates industry.
Holidays 28 days per annum
Hours 7.00AM – 5.00PM Monday to Friday.
