Job description
We are a friendly and growing Accountancy Practice based on the Skipton / Keighley border looking to recruit an experienced person to support various aspects of the business.
This role will include, but not be limited, to the following :
- To provide a high quality, professional reception and administrative service for the firm.
- Answering the phone and dealing with client queries where possible or forwarding to the necessary staff member.
- To act as the first point of contact for clients and visitors either face to face or over the phone.
- Dealing with admin queries in an efficient and courteous manner.
- Maintaining internal accountancy practice systems and files as appropriate.
- Assisting with the on-boarding of new clients to the Practice.
- General office duties including filing, post outgoings, client refreshments.
- Ensuring the office is kept in a tidy manner.
- Assisting with the typing and processing of documents as and when instructed.
- Ad hoc tasks as and when requested.
- The role can be expanded depending upon the right candidate. Further information would be discussed at interview.
The successful candidate will require the following :
- IT literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft products.
- Experience of Sage products would be desirable but not essential.
- All round proven administration experience with ability to work on their own.
- Ability to prioritise and self manage time.
- Great communication skills and ability to communicate confidently with clients.
- The right candidate needs to be polite, friendly and approachable with a good attention to detail.
- The ideal person will be responsible with a good sense of humour, a team player with a can do attitude.
- Experience of working within professional practice would be desirable but not essential.
- Previous HR background experience desirable.
- Capable of creating and managing office systems.
- Must have 3 years administrative experience.
The position is 35 hours/week. 9am till 5pm essential.
