JOB TITLE: Associate Director, Invoice Finance Sales
LOCATION(S): Birmingham
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site
About this opportunity
An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join the North West & Midlands Invoice Finance Sales Team. The Associate Director would ideally have a strong profile in the marketplace to identify and deliver high quality new business opportunities, as well as working collaboratively with SME Coverage to deliver a range of SCS Invoice Finance products for both new and existing bank clients.
Our Commercial Banking division has business clients across a wide variety of sectors - from small businesses to multinational corporations. Many of the clients we support are household names, driving UK growth, and we've pledged to help the UK economy recover by helping British industry.
Invoice Finance plays a key part of the cashflow solution for many trading businesses and is a growth product both within LBG and the UK generally, making this an exciting area to develop a career within the wider Group.
We have an opportunity to join the North West & Midlands Sales Team as one of our Associate Directors covering Birmingham. This role requires a strong profile in the marketplace to identify and deliver high quality new business opportunities, as well as a collaborative working style to deliver a range of Invoice Finance products for both new and existing bank clients.

What we'll need from you:
Ideally from an Invoice Finance or Commercial Banking background, you’re likely to have proven business development and sales experience. You would be required to self-generate leads and educate the external community around both our Invoice Finance & wider SME banking’s offering.
You'll visit prospects face-to-face to sell our service and negotiate pricing / terms. You'll be responsible for writing structured proposals for sanctioning as well as on-boarding these new clients and working closely with our Client Managers who handle the client relationship after the deal has been concluded.
Essential
- Knowledge/ understanding of Invoice Finance
- Outstanding business development skills with the stakeholder management capability to ensure business opportunities are maximised
- Experienced in client face to face sales negotiations
- Proficient in the credit and underwriting process and a fluency in financial analysis
- Strongly connected within the local professional community, and able to demonstrate that you use these connections for business development opportunities
- A genuine interest and understanding in SME businesses and how their business working capital cycle works
This will be a great role for a proven sales performer who wishes to work in a very successful part of the Group and can nurture / build relationships with internal and external partners.
