Job description
We are looking to recruit a Senior Administration Assistant into our Primary Care Team within the Humber Centre. The successful candidate will need to be well-organised, motivated and have a positive attitude to working as part of a hard-working and committed team. Candidates will need strong communication skills at all levels.
The post holder will work as an essential member of the admin team and support in delivering an effective, efficient, responsive and high-quality service. You will work in a primary care service environment completing administrative duties and taking calls from outside agencies and the clinical team. You will provide administrative/secretarial support to the Primary Care Team within standard administrative procedures and contribute to the planning and development of the role as a member of the Forensic Services admin team. You will be responsible for maintaining an operationalising a patient appointment and review process and database. You will induct and supervise less experienced staff.
Provide secretarial support to non-medical staff in the day-to-day running of the primary care team
- Answering phone calls and taking messages
- Creating and maintaining a patient appointment and review database whilst ensuring patients and wards are informed of all appointments and review appointments. Prepare test results and notes for GP and Nursing clinics using EPR systems.
- Maintaining a primary care clinical and performance database
- Maintaining the storage of files/folders on servers
- Process and store records, transcribes and type up formal minutes
- Responsible for primary care service petty cash
- Checking/ordering primary care service supplies, stationery, goods
- General office duties including taking minutes at team meetings
