HERO-ERA provide a one stop platform for historic motoring that is friendly, professional and delivers real value. A platform by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts.
We operate across diverse disciplines, which includes classic car rallies, membership programme and services. Bespoke events, insurance, classic car hire, and an on-line store.
We are looking for a new team member to join us at our newly built facility based at Bicester Motion.
This is a unique opportunity, and we are looking for that special person. If you are a team player and outgoing, then this is a unique and rare opportunity to join our small professional dedicated team. This role is an important part of our team, in a busy office where we deliver 20 plus events a year.

Role and responsibilities:
The OA is often the first person that members and non‐members contact when dealing with
HERO‐ERA. The role is likely to be held by a person with a bubbly, friendly, outgoing personality attached to a can‐do attitude. They would need to be punctual and very organised.
Based at our brand‐new state‐of‐the‐art purpose‐built HQ at Bicester Motion, the OA role is clearly defined but there will be a requirement to carry out any other work such as attendance at social events, shows and on other events to assist and promote HERO‐ERA.
The OA role has seven main elements:
1. Meet and greet.
2. Manage the office environment for visitors.
3. Support the office team.
4. Process store orders & maintain stock records.
5. General office support
6. On event.

1. Meet & Greet.
The face and voice of HERO‐ERA
- Often the first face seen on arrival at HERO‐ERA HQ
- Dealing with enquiries on the phone – transferring calls to the right person
- Answering the door, accepting deliveries, and directing guests the right way is all part of the experience.
- Meet and greet at social events taking place at HERO‐ERA HQ
2. Manage the Office environment for Visitors:
Looking after our visitors when they visit the HERO‐ERA HQ adds the ‘we care’ to their experience.
- Making guests comfortable when they arrive
- Offering refreshments
- Ensuring that our facilities are meeting our expectations and that of our guests.
3. Support the Office Team:
Our busy team, your colleagues, need support from time to time.
- Assisting the Events Team
- Assisting the Hospitality team
- Assisting the Membership Team
- Assisting Arrive & Drive
- Assisting Senior Management and the Directors
4. Process store orders & maintain stock records.
Meeting our customer expectations:
- Follow through on‐line store orders with suppliers to ensure they are shipped.
- Pack and post in‐house products, against orders received.
- Check pricing in line with suppliers.
- Deal with customer enquiries.
5. General office support
Making sure the office runs as expected:
- Receiving and checking in deliveries
- Distributing incoming mail
- Organising outgoing postage; letters/parcels
- Manage the stationery store: o Checking in orders against delivery note o Advising the relevant teams of the order arrival o Placing Stationery orders
- Assisting the events team prior to an event, such as: o Printing & binding of route & Map books o Printing any additional paperwork o Creating competitor official and marshal packs o Assisting with making up the Control Board boxes o Assisting with loading the logistics van pre event o Offloading and sorting content post event
6. On Event:
Assist, as and when required, with general hospitality / marshaling during events, this includes, but not limited to:
- Marshalling
- Manning the competitor help desk.
- Assisting at signing on
7. Other roles:
Any other roles that are needed in respect of delivering the events, shows, etc. as required by the company.
