We have a great opportunity for a skilled and adaptable finance lawyer to join our global legal function, to be based in London. This is a broad role, in which you will provide legal advice to the Group's DCM (Debt & Capital Markets) team as your main stakeholders, with support to the Group's wider Finance team and other departments.

Vista utilises debt and capital markets, and the Legal Finance team consistently work on innovative products and exciting projects.
- Provide legal assistance to the Group’s DCM team, predominantly based in London;
- Work with the Senior Legal Director, Finance and Legal Director, Finance and the Group's Finance team;
- Assistance with the negotiation and execution of complex cross-border financing transactions, including due diligence exercises. You will regularly perform a key transaction management function;
- Assistance with ad hoc projects including those relating to fleet management, asset acquisition, correspondence with aviation authorities, special projects, manufacturers and litigation;
- Advise stakeholders on permitted transactions in accordance with finance documentation; assist the DCM team to monitor Group-wide covenants and baskets; and assist with related reporting requirements;
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, external counsel and mandated investment and underwriting banks; and
- Review, draft and negotiate legal contracts, predominantly related to corporate finance (including NDAs, letters of intent, KYC, engagement letters, transaction documents, legal and tax opinions).
- An English law qualified solicitor, with 1-3 years' PQE;
- Ability to demonstrate experience of working on complex cross-border financing transactions;
- Have an understanding of either bond markets or mergers & acquisitions (or both!);
- Have experience using project & document management tools;
- Be able to evidence a willingness to learn new skills and an ability to take ownership of your work;
- Have strong attention to detail and an ability to act under pressure;
- Demonstrate a commercial understanding beyond legal necessities;
- Industry knowledge and experience of asset (and particularly aviation) finance;
- Experience of New York law-governed finance documentation would be an advantage; and
- A competent French speaker and experience in a French law firm would be an advantage.
