The Opportunity
We are seeking a lawyer to join our legal team, reporting into our General Counsel. The successful candidate will enjoy a broad and dynamic role, including but not limited to being responsible for providing legal support on customer negotiations, product and service development, handling disputes and helping drive cross-border expansion. This role is based in London.
You Will:
- Assist in negotiations with our customers, partners and suppliers. You will be working on a range of agreements for provision of payment and card services, embedded finance products and on commercial contracts.
- Support and collaborate with various departments, including our product and technology, compliance and sales teams.
- Support on any contentious issues faced by the business.
- Monitor and stay current with any changes in payment related laws and regulations and provide legal support on any necessary changes to our products and services.
- Manage and collaborate with external counsel in various jurisdictions to develop solutions and meet Railsr’ business requirements.
You Have
- This is a mid-level Legal Counsel role, so you will have at least 3-5 years post-qualification experience and with a current practising certificate in England and Wales.
- Likely trained with a US or top City law firm and preferably with in-house counsel experience.
- Experience in handling contentious matters will be an advantage.
- Strong commercial acumen. Ability to think and act quickly on your feet and to remain focused under pressure to find legal solutions that meet the objectives.
