Legal Counsel, Commercial Contracts
Meraki Talent is currently recruiting for a Legal Counsel to join a renowned financial services client in either Glasgow or Edinburgh. This position is full time and flexible hours will be considered. You will also have the option of working part of the week from home. This position is for a fixed period - up to 12 months.
You will need to have experience in commercial contracts and ideally some background in financial services as you will be working for a pensions and investments provider
This role is aimed at a Legal Counsel with experience who can hit the ground running so will consider those with 3 plus PQE for this role.

Duties and responsibilities of the ideal candidate:
- You will advise on a variety of commercial contracts from drafting, reviewing and negotiating. The types of contracts include master services agreements, licences, data protection agreements, NDAs and supplier contracts to name a few.
- You will draft best practice notes
- Assist in training the team
- You will be responsible for your own caseload but will also help the wider team.
- You will be a qualified Solicitor in Scotland or England with experience in commercial contracts, ideally 3 plus PQE
- A background in working in the financial services, pensions or professional services sector would be an advantage
- You will work well on your own as well as a team.
- You will have great communication and presentation skills
- You will manage your time well and know how to prioritise work
