Job description
The post holder provides specialist occupational therapy service to clients within the Acute Medical, Elderly Care Unit, Surgery and Orthopaedics who meet the service criteria. They will be leading the Acute speciality medicine OT service and team. The post holder is responsible for managing a caseload of clients with complex needs, using evidence-based and client-centred practice in the assessment and the planning, implementation and evaluation of interventions. The post holder will be working closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary team, taking on an active role in identifying, coordinating and organising the appropriate care and rehabilitation service and home/hospital set-up needed to ensure the safe and timely discharge of patient from the acute hospital.
