Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an occupational therapy support worker to join the stroke rehabilitation team in Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr in Ystrad Mynach. The post holder will support the occupational therapy team in providing rehabilitation and facilitating discharge into the community for people who had had a stroke.

The successful candidate should have had experience of working with people who have had a stroke or in a rehabilitation setting. The post holder should be motivated and keen to learn, with excellent communication and organisational skills. The ability to be complete delegated tasks independently is essential to the role.

We provide all our staff with the opportunity to work in a service that is constantly developing in order to provide the best quality care possible for people who have had a stroke. We support all staff with professional supervision and regular development reviews. All support staff within the service are provided with opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills in line with their needs.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
