If that sounds like something you are keen to explore, the Occupational Therapy service in Adult Specialist Services are looking for staff. We have a permanent vacancy at Ravenswood House and are also open to part time / job share.
We are looking for a passionate, and dynamic therapist to join us in providing excellent care for service users with mental Health illness, in our forensic setting.
Forensics is such an interesting field of practice. We work collaboratively with service users, with a risk history, to help them reintegrate into the community.
As part of our team you would be working in the inpatient hospital and accessing the local community, to support service user to develop and maintain functional skills, through the use of the occupational therapy process. There are opportunities to build links with external agencies and step-down support, to enable service users to thrive within the least restrictive level of security.
As a band five you will be supported to develop line management skills in supervision and appraisal of staff. You will have an opportunity to join our network of band five OT's and get regular peer support. If newly qualified, you will also join the preceptorship programme and have an opportunity to work alongside other preceptees in the Trust.
