Full time, 8a Occupational Therapist Clinical Lead, RSCH.
We are excited to announce the creation of the OT Clinical Lead role for Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton and look forward to receiving applications from experienced OT who are interested in joining UH Sussex to help us deliver and develop excellent patient care and support our staff to flourish.
This job provide an opportunity to maintain a clinical caseload and develop your operational management skills within a dynamic organisation. You will be responsible for operational and clinical management and delivery of the inpatient OT services in conjunction with the OT Leadership contribute to planning, development and performance of the OT service across UH Sussex NHS Foundation Trust.
You will be required to actively promote and develop equality and diversity practices to promote equity of access of care for patients and job opportunities and development opportunities for staff.
To use your professional and clinical leadership skills to develop and implementation training and personal development plan for all OT staff to ensure excellence of OT-related training across the whole organisation.
You will be responsible with the other members of the OT Leadership team for maintaining and improving all aspects of clinical governance, EBP quality assurance for the OT service.

Role Summary
Responsible and accountable for operational and clinical management and delivery of the inpatient Occupational Therapy services and certain out-patient teams in conjunction with the Occupational Therapy Leadership team contribute to planning, development and performance of the Occupational Therapy service across University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust.
To actively promote and develop equality and diversity practices and delivery in order to promote equity of access of care for patients and equity of access to job opportunities and development opportunities for staff.
Continue to maintain a clinical caseload (minimum 1 day a week) as an autonomous practitioner, providing specialist assessment and treatment within the designated area.
Uses professional and clinical leadership in the development and implementation of a comprehensive training and personal development plan for all Occupational Therapy staff and in conjunction with the Occupational Therapy Leadership team strives to ensure excellence of Occupational Therapy-related training across the whole organisation.
Responsible with the other members of the Occupational Therapy Leadership team for maintaining and improving all aspects of clinical governance, evidence-based practice and quality assurance for the Occupational Therapy service.
