Job description
The Occupational Therapy Team will provide a full range of assessments, interventions, support, training and advice to individuals themselves, their families and paid carers and the network of multi-agency stakeholders who are involved in the care and support of this complex client group. We are guided by the recovery model, the Occupational Therapy Team will also maintain close liaison with the range of existing and new specialist mental health community teams, and social care agencies across the Black Country in order to ensure that people with a learning disability are well supported by the full range of services and opportunities that meet their whole life person centred needs and aspirations. Working alongside the band 7 advanced practitioner OT, you will support the registered OT in completing a variety of assessments and treatments that work towards a set of developing standards these include: Ensure that the individual has good occupational balance Ensuring that the individual has a balance of occupations that meets their health needs Ensure that individuals have occupations made accessible to them Ensure that individuals are free from barriers to occupations Ensure that individuals have occupations that are valued by themselves and their community that change throughout their lives.
