Job description
The Children with Disabilities team are looking to recruit an Occupational Therapy Assistant. This role is based in a team which consists of Administrative staff, Social Workers, Family Support Workers and Occupational Therapists.
This is a great opportunity to join a team who are passionate about working collaboratively with children and their parents to support them in improving their ability to engage in day to day tasks through provision of equipment and changes to their living environments.
The role will require you to work independently to visit family homes, to communicate effectively with families to achieve their desired outcomes and fit and adjust equipment as required.
A full induction with training in specific equipment along with on-going support and updates of training will be provided.
The role is 22.5 hours a week and you will have the opportunity to work flexibly within Council Offices (Market Street) and home.
