Post: Occupational Therapy Assistant
Base: Cygnet Sheffield, Griffin Ward
Responsible for: Delivery of group and individuals interventions, providing feedback to the Occupational Therapist and Multi-Disciplinary Team.
Responsible to: Band 6 OT and Kerry Booth Head OT on site.
Hours: 40 hours per week

With over 150 OTs in the company, we also work together as a large team providing support to each other across the group, with various specialist interest groups to tap into, including Mental Health, Neuropsychiatry, Autism, Learning Disabilities and Sensory Integration, to name a few.
Griffin Ward is a 15 bed low secure service that positively supports young people who may need a longer stay in an inpatient setting within a low secure environment. It offers a care and treatment pathway for individuals who may have complex mental health issues and whose needs and risk are such they need to be supported in this environment.
As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will provide direct clinical care under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist. This will encompass the use of OT assessments and treatment in both groups and individual sessions.
In this role you will help devise and implement an OT treatment programme according to service user’s diagnosis and identified needs. This will be based upon findings from assessments including associated risks, in order to develop treatment plans accordingly.
Prioritisation skills are key to manage the caseload of clients effectively and you will work closely with the Occupational Therapist and multidisciplinary team onsite.

Requirements
