Job description
An opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join the Poole Town Locality Team. Previous experience of working with adults in a community or hospital setting is preferable, training will be provided in areas that the successful applicant might require to enhance their knowledge.
The team comprises of Social Workers, Assistant Care Managers and Occupational Therapists working to successfully support adults with Long Term Conditions, their families, carers, and representatives to live as independently as possible in the community.
You will need good organisational skills to manage a varied individual caseload undertaking assessment and support planning. You will be responsible for the supply and installation of equipment and adaptations and be able to prioritise your work daily. Therefore, the applicant will need to have a good understanding of these processes and be willing to undertake training in any of the areas mentioned that the successful candidate might be requiring.
You will need to be confident with the use of IT systems and inputting of data. In addition, you will need to demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills and an understanding of the importance of multi-disciplinary working on application and at interview.

The Poole Town Locality team is a supportive and busy team committed to delivering quality services to the population of Poole. The successful candidate can expect to receive regular 1 to 1 supervision, full induction programme and continued training and development opportunities relevant to this job role.
