Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an aspiring individual to join our Ongoing Support Team, as a Level 6 Occupational Therapy Apprentice.

LIVE WORK SUPPORT
Our Ongoing Support Teams work to promote people’s resilience, independence, and wellbeing, and build strong communities. Our teams offer support and intervention to people aged 18 plus, who live with physical disabilities, chronic and long-term conditions, autism, and sensory impairment.
About the role
This apprenticeship typically lasts 4 academic years with a 6-month end point assessment period.
At the end of the apprenticeship, you will be able to demonstrate the specific qualifications, knowledge and skills required for an occupational therapist, as detailed in the person specification of the attached role description.
This is a regulated Occupation; by the end of the apprenticeship, you’ll be eligible for registration by the Health and Care professions Council (HCPC) that is required to practice as a registered occupational therapist.

The essential criteria for this apprenticeship:
English and Math’s GCSE C or above or equivalent.
Level 3 qualification (A level equivalent) in the last three years.
Willingness to undertake a health assessment and have routine immunisations required for working in health and social care settings.
Experience of working in Health or Social care environment.
Understanding of the social care role and responsibilities.
Understanding of person-centered working, evidence-based approaches.
Excellent communication skills.
Interviews will be held on: Friday 19th May 2023 in Trowbridge.
