Job description
KMPT is offering the a exciting opportunity to apply for the Occupational Therapy Degree Apprenticeship programme leading to registration as an Occupational Therapist.

This is a 4 year Degree Apprenticeship with KMPT in partnership with Canterbury Christ Church University.
The apprenticeship programme will commence in September 2023
As an OT Degree Apprentice you will complete blocks of placements that will take place outside of your base team across the Kent region. These will also be within providers outside of KMPT and include non-mental health experiences. These will enable you to gain work experience with different age groups and in a variety of settings.
You may be asked to travel outside of your local area to attend these placements and to work within the shift pattern of that service. Travel expenses on placement will covered by KMPT. You will need to successfully complete Practice Assessment Documents during your placements to evidence your knowledge, competency and professional values.

Both university and apprenticeship eligibility criteria will need to be met and there will be an assessment and interview process.
You are required to have and provide evidence;
- Minimum of a level 3 qualification – e.g. A levels / Access to HE Diploma / BTEC /NVQ3, apprenticeship level 3
- Proof of English and Maths GCSE (grade C or above) or functional skills level 2 numeracy and literacy on application.
- Essential induction training and experience
- Previous experience of working within a health / care setting (6 months)
