Teacher/Tutor - one to one Braintree, England
Job description
EM Tuition is a non-profit provider of training and tuition.
We work alongside Essex County Council, providing support for children and young people with barriers to learning and also provide tuition as part of the National Tutoring Programme.
We are looking for a Tutor/Teacher to provide one-to-one support for a child with the following requirements:
Face-to-Face role with a year 11 pupil for English and maths
Working Days - Monday to Friday.
3 hours per day - 15 hours per week or you can take on two children in the area for 30 hours per week.
Tuition will take place at the child's home or local library
A knowledge of challenging behaviour and strategies would be good. Some knowledge of the impact for a child in care would be advantageous.
Role is to begin as soon as possible.
You should be able to meet the following requirements:
- Have at least two years of tutoring or teaching experience (children) and a good knowledge of the national curriculum.
- Have the appropriate skills to support the child in question who has high levels of anxiety and in care.
- This role will require someone with an understanding of the above needs and how to engage a reluctant learner.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 7 months
Part-time hours: 15 -30 per week
Salary: £25.00-£35.00 per hour
