Glasgow is a vibrant city bursting with character and personality where you will find world famous visitor attractions, a contemporary food and drink scene and a legendary nightlife. An exciting opportunity has arisen for band 3 generic HCSW to join the Older Peoples Service on a permanent part time basis at Gartnavel General. The post involves supporting the occupational therapy and physiotherapy staff in delivering a high quality service to patients. The work will mainly be based within the ward environment however this may vary depending on the service and patient group. The applicant will be expected to carry their own caseload that will be delegated from the occupational therapist/physiotherapist and according to set treatment protocols. Candidates must have previous experience working with adults and the skills to engage and motivate others. You should be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to healthcare. Candidates should display flexibility and evidence a strong team work ethic. Training will be provided to allow you to undertake clinical and non clinical duties. You will be supported by the occupational therapy and physiotherapy staff on the team and will participate in supervision and personal development planning to help fulfill continuous professional development.
