Bron Afon Community Housing was specifically set up to own, manage and improve homes previously owned by Torfaen County Borough Council (TCBC). The Occupational Therapy and Adaptations within Bron Afon provide our contract holders with an in-house equipment/adaptations and rehousing service for disabled people of all ages. This vacancy offers an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to gain experience in and build on their Social Services / Community based skills.
We are looking to recruit 2 experienced, enthusiastic and motivated individuals to our small team, who are:
keen to develop and provide an efficient OT service to our Contract Holders
able to work effectively & efficiently under pressure, both autonomously & as part of a team
well organised & able to manage a busy and dynamic workload
The positions will be offered on a temporary basis as a fixed term contract for 2 years.
You will have a Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration, carrying out assessment for aids, adaptations and moving and handling. Experience of working in a community setting, recommending major adaptations will be advantageous.
You will receive regular supervision, CPD time, and opportunities for learning and development.
