Qualified Occupational Therapist - Adult Social Care Services - BCP Council

What you can expect to be doing:
The teamwork in the community with people aged 18 and over who have a long-term health condition, physical disability or mental health needs. We provide holistic assessments and interventions that can include provision of equipment, minor or major adaptations and Moving and Handling assessments to facilitate greater independence and well-being for people, families, and carers.
What we’re looking for:
You will need to have an up-to-date professional registration in Occupational Therapy.
We are also welcoming Newly qualified OTs, or OTs with other specialist knowledge, such as those returning to practice after a career break or with transferable skills and who are skilled in relationship based practice.
We support and encourage continuous personal development and we have excellent training and mentoring available.
A bit about the Teams:
The teams have a range of experience including Qualified Occupational Therapists, Qualified Social Workers, newly qualified ASYE Social Workers, Apprentice/Trainee or Students in Occupational Therapy and Social Work and a vast range of experienced non-qualified Social Care staff.
We have regular team meetings, supervision, and a well-established culture of peer support/learning within the team. There is also opportunity to complete CPD activities and use of reflective practice to develop skills and knowledge.

We have modern working practices that help colleagues to do their jobs in the best location for the service whilst at the same time allowing them to balance work and life demands. We use technology to work in a hybrid way – mixing working from modern hubs across the BCP area, with community visits and working from home. BCP Council also invests in the well-being of staff with an employee assistance program, social groups and inclusive working environment.
Additional Information
Current Vacancies - full (37 hours) and part time posts are available across the BCP localities due to career progression.
