OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & FIRST AID CENTRE MANAGER | Circa £44,100 per annum
We are looking for an experienced medical leader, who’s passionate about delivering positive change, to join our on-site First Aid and Occupational Health Centre, caring for both our guests and a 1,500 strong workforce.
Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day running of a busy First Aid and Occupational Health Centre, providing emergency first aid and minor medical treatment to guests and colleagues and the provision of an occupational health service for colleagues.
You will manage a team of Nurses, First Aid Technicians and a Medical Administrator to ensure an excellent and efficient medical service is provided. You will have responsibility for the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for guests and employees in conjunction with the UK Health and Safety Manager and the supervision and training of the medical staff.
In this role, you can expect a wide exposure to virtually all aspects of the medical profession such as:
- Occupational Health – working in liaison with HR and Managers to manage absence
- Medical Emergencies
- Accident Management and reporting
- Health Surveillance Screening
- Colleague health promotion initiatives, with a focus on Mental Health
- Liaison with local Hospitals/GP and operating Company Doctor clinics for our colleagues
- Reporting at village Health and Safety meetings
- In addition to this you will also be responsible for the preparation of Operational and Capital budgets reporting on financial performance on a four-weekly basis
Due to the sensitive nature of this role the successful applicant will be required to apply for disclosure with the Criminal Records Bureau. This disclosure, together with other selection information, will need to be satisfactory to the Company for employment to commence.
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.
As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include weekends, public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.
ABOUT YOU
As an experienced medical leader, you’ll help deliver our strategic priorities, you will have excellent interpersonal skills and be socially confident with the ability to inspire confidence and establish credibility.
Essential requirements:
- Registered General Nurse
- Part 1 registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council
- At least 2 years post registration experience
- Experience in Occupational Health services, First Aid and minor injuries
- Experience in accident and emergency and/or practice nurse
- Experience and the ability to demonstrate strong leadership of a team
- Full Driving Licence
Desirable requirements:
- Occupational health qualification
- Formal University training to Diploma level
