Immediate is the special interest content and platform company. We focus on special interest markets, engaging with more than 75 million people globally each month, through world-class content, innovative new digital products and services and live events. Immediate is the UK’s leading food media publisher and the number one for subscriptions with 1m subscribers across digital and print. Immediate Media was voted the UK’s Best Media Company to work for and 4th across all UK companies by Glassdoor in 2022.
Nutracheck, the UK's leading subscription-based weight management and dietary improvement platform, is part of the Immediate family/portfolio. With 400,000 premium subscribers, Nutracheck is one of the biggest digital subscription apps in the UK. A multi-award winning app and website, Nutracheck’s evidence-based approach for food, exercise and progress tracking helps to guide members to healthier lifestyle choices. Nutracheck provides a state-of-the-art solution for calorie and nutrient tracking, using a unique food database with over 350,000 products and barcode scanner, combined with connectivity to activity tracking devices.
About the role
We are looking for a conscientious, caring person to work with our Senior Nutritionist supporting the members using our calorie and nutrient tracking app, Nutracheck.
The job involves creating weekly nutrition content for our newsletter and blog, answering nutrition related queries from members, and running nutrition challenges for the Nutracheck community.
In addition, there may be ad hoc projects, such as participating in podcasts, recipe and meal plan creation or working with the app developers to provide nutritional guidance for new features.
Requirements
- Nutrition expert: If you have a passion for nutrition and health, this is the right job for you. A large part of the role is creating nutrition content, so it’s imperative you are up to date with the latest research in the field of nutrition, specifically in relation to weight loss, in order to help our members effectively.
- Experienced writer: For the most part, your communication with members will be via email, so your written English must be of an excellent standard, clear and friendly. It is important you are able to adapt the content and your writing style for different audiences.
- Support for members is also offered over the telephone, so a friendly, helpful phone manner is a must.
- Excellent communicator: You will work closely with our Senior Nutritionist, and also liaise with the Customer Care Manager and Customer Care Team, so you need to be an effective communicator and good team player.
- Confident app user: The Nutracheck service is delivered via an app and website, so it is essential you are confident using technology and familiar with iOS and/or Android phones and downloading apps.
- Great listener: You will be a good listener – whether that be verbally, or being able to extract the key issues from a member’s email. The ability to empathise and deal sensitively with members’ weight and health issues is essential. It would be beneficial if you understood the challenges of weight management personally - either from working in the health and wellbeing sector or your own experience.
- You will be joining a successful customer support team who recently won an award for best B2C customer service, finishing in the top six out of 12,000 businesses in 140 countries. The Nutracheck ethos is to treat customers as we would wish to be treated ourselves - with fairness, respect and kindness. If you share our values, this job could be for you.
Benefits
- Flexi-time (start between 8 – 10am, and finish between 4:30 – 6:30pm)
- Hybrid working – 3 days office / 2 days WFH
- Bonus Scheme – eligible after 12 months service
- Holiday purchase scheme
- Theatre trips (subsidised)
- Team away days
- Cycle To Work Scheme
