Transform Healthcare Holdings Ltd are seeking an experienced Nutrition Advisor to join our Dietetics team in a hybrid role working between home and either at the Pines Hospital in South Manchester or Burcot Hall Hospital in Bromsgrove. The Role
As a Nutrition Advisor, you will provide nutrition support to patients due to undergo / who have undergone bariatric surgery and/or appropriate non-surgical weight loss methods. You with also work closely with our dietitians, specialist bariatric surgeons, specialist nurses, sales advisors and administrative staff. The role will also include the following duties:
Identify the nutritional needs of each patient and advise accordingly
Accurately document dietetic information on CRM using the templates devised by the dietitians
Liaise and communicate effectively with other members of the multidisciplinary team and dietitians regarding any complex patients and refer onto them where appropriate
Identify, develop and evaluate resources and educational aids to support surgical and non-surgical treatment
Aid to develop appropriate evidence-based dietary literature for bariatric surgery and non-surgical weight loss patients
Support with developing clinical audit protocols for the nutrition aspect of the non-surgical or surgical treatment
Aid to monitor and audit the outcome of nutrition and dietetic interventions and investigate research opportunities in liaison with the Head of Dietetics and Weight Loss UK Manager
Where possible/feasible, to conduct pre- and post-operative group education sessions and patient support groups
Act as a source of specialist nutrition knowledge and expertise in bariatric surgery and non-surgical weight management dietetics for other members of the Weight Management Business Uni
Ensure patients and carers are supported in way that maintains their privacy, dignity and any distressing issues are approached sensitively and professionally
Develop and provide educational and training initiatives e.g., lectures / tutorials / demonstrations on the nutritional treatment of bariatric surgery patients to varying audiences
Supervise and assist in the training of nutrition advisors new to the role
Participate in peer review/clinical supervision, often via email/telephone as requested by Head of Dietetics as well as participating in weekly dietetic departmental Teams calls
Assist the Patient Care team with the investigation and resolution of patient complaints
Comply with all company policies and procedures
Applicants will be degree educated in Nutrition and possess the ability to build relationships across varying teams.
This is a full or part time opportunity, working 40 hours per week (full time) and can be completed across a hybrid of home and hospital working.
Salary quoted will be pro-rata'd for part time working
