Role Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Nursing Associate to work in our Oncology Department for our prestigious private hospital – the Cromwell Hospital.
As a Nursing Associate you will be working independently under the leadership of registered nurses, working to their nationally recognised code of conduct and Standards of Proficiency for Nursing Associates. To work as part of the multidisciplinary team. To communicate effectively, with sensitivity and compassion, and to manage relationships with people, making reasonable adjustments where necessary. To work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
What you’ll do:
- Provide compassionate, safe and effective care and support to people in a range of care settings.
- Monitor the condition and health needs of people within their care on a continual basis in partnership with the members of the MDT team families, and carers
- To complete nursing risk assessments using recognise risk assessment tools
- To oversee the care delivered to their designated group of patients by Health Care Assistants. Trainee Nursing Associates and Nursing Students
- Assist in the implementation of appropriate action to meet the specific physical, emotional and psychological, social, cultural and spiritual needs of individuals and carers
- Support people to improve and maintain their mental, physical, behavioural health and wellbeing
- Promote and enhance evidence-based practice, ensuring care delivered follows local and national guidelines.
What you’ll bring:
- Registered Nursing Associate
- Appropriate experience in a Nursing associate role
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- Experience in risk assessment
- Knowledge of NMC Codes and guidelines and their implications for practice
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal presentation skills & report writing
- Computer literate with good knowledge of MS word, outlook, Excel, Teams
- Time management skills
