Contract Manager – Oak Specialist Services
Location: Romford.
Oak Specialist Services is looking to recruit a Contract Manager to . To oversee site based activity of the business.
What you will be doing:
Duties will include promoting the new business to our existing clients, allocating and managing resources, quality, health and safety..
- The day to day management of all site operatives.
- Promote and deliver exceptional safety standards at all times, leading by example
- Management and maintenance of good quality control on site, including ensuring compliance with required QA Procedures, deliver exceptional quality and the electronic storage of all installations on Oak Fire Protection QA systems
- Promote the Company image, interest, reputation and standing within the business community
- Maintain good client relationships at all levels
- Develop and implement project delivery strategies to meet agreed outcomes
- Ensuring projects have adequate controls in place and implemented
- Ensuring that sufficient competent resources are deployed on projects
- Ensuring that all site non-conformities are reported and resolved with minimal disruption.
- Undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role
- Attend tender handover meetings on secured projects and taking responsibility for all construction matters and performance
- Carry out on-site inspections and surveys prior to commencement and acceptance of handover of work areas
- Ordering of materials detailing correct specification and reference details and issuing requisitions to Buying Department and co-ordinate their ordering and delivery on a time and site specific basis
- Co-ordination of fire protection works with all interface packages with other sub-contractor managers and attend meetings as required
- Management and allocation of all staff, foremen, operatives and labour responsible for installing of fire protection works
- Management and minimisation of waste
- Management of all internal housekeeping and safety issues internally and on site, ensuring compliance with all HS&E standards and requirements
- Ensure Requests for Information are issued correctly and in accordance with Company processes and in a timely manner
- Ensure Change Control procedures (variations, confirmation of verbal instructions, etc) are properly used, specifically those that have a cost and/or time effect and assisting in ensuring their recovery, and can clearly demonstrate verification with project documentation
- Verify and check site records and timesheets to assist the Commercial Staff in the administration of subcontract payments and preparation and submission of external Interim Valuations and Applications for Payment, and Final Account
- Manage and maintain all records, including diaries, letters and e-mails, drawing site records, QA records, snagging sheets, computer data and all material to be archived
- Ensure proper record keeping of site progress, with photographs, written records, matrix tracking documents, marked–up drawings and collection of data, together with ensuring compliance with Company procedures
- Represent the Company at meetings where requested and ensure that the Company site team, operatives and labour are aware of their responsibilities
- Liaise and co-ordinate with all Business Unit departments to improve all levels of communication so as to benefit and develop the Company’s objectives
