Job description
We are looking for a motivated and flexible Band 2 HealthCare Assistant to join our Outpatient team.
Predominantly to work in main Outpatients but you will also be required to deliver a seven day service to trauma and Orthopaedic patients based at our specialist emergency hospital, you will be required to be flexible and work within other Outpatient departments and across other sites to deliver care therefore a car driver is essential.

To assist the qualified nursing staff in the delivery of high quality direct and indirect patient care. To provide assistance and support to patients, carers and the multi-disciplinary team. To maintain high clinical standards. To help maintain a clean and safe ward environment. To work under the supervision of a qualified nurse and assist in the implementation
of patient care both direct and non-direct
We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. To assist with the clinics and manage patients journey within the Out patient areas.
To provide phlebotomy support to patients
To support the Nursing team in all service areas.
To deliver care to patients in an out patient setting
Travel across sites within the working day to support clinical services
