As a Trainee Electrician/Improver, you will be expected to:

  • Assist Electricians in Carrying out installation/repairs and maintenance /inspection and testing to the 18th edition regulations in a safe and proper Manner. Ensuring works are completed to a consistent high standard in addition to providing our customers with their best experience of customer service.
  • Provide an efficient and effective service as a member of the team, creating an environment enjoyable to work in, to include colleagues, both trade and office staff as part of Your team.

  • Adhere with the Health and Safety at Work Act to take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts and omissions.

To be successful in a Trainee Electrician/Improver role, the skills you will need:

  • ECS/CSCS Qualification
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Ability to use power tools, such as Wall chasers / core drills etc
  • Able to form and maintain good working relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Experience of working in a building environment and helping complete electrical repair work in occupied homes.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to communicate across multiple channels including Microsoft Teams, Face to Face and Email.

Experience or Knowledge of the below would be advantageous but not essential

  • 18 Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Experience of working in a customer focused environment.
  • Installation experience with all types of cable and cable management.
  • A knowledge of relevant legislation and/or Codes of Practice i.e., Construction, Building Regulations and Health & Safety.
