Just Imagine Day nursery – Canvey Island are currently recruiting for fun and friendly qualified practitioners to join our team.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about child care and development especially for children under the age of 5.
Our nursery is a friendly, family centred setting where every child is an individual and valued. Our aim is to provide children a stimulating environment where they can strive to learn.
Our nursery is open Monday to Friday from 7am-7pm, 52 weeks per year.
Job description
We have full and part time positions available
The ideal candidate will be qualified to childcare level 3 or above, be creative, confident, reliable and able to work as part of a team as well as showing initiative to be able to complete tasks alone
Main duties
1. To plan the curriculum using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum for guidance.
2. To set up the room(s) for the daily programme and to help tidy away accordingly.
3. To work in partnership with parents/carers and other family members.
4. To be responsible for a group of key children and ensure their Learning Journeys are in line with the EYFS.
5. To work in partnership with the SENCO to support children with individual needs.
6. To carry out observations on children.
7. To advise the Manager of any concerns e.g. over children, parents or the safety of equipment, preserving confidentiality as necessary.
8. To teach children, offering an appropriate level of support and stimulating play experiences.
9. To ensure that children are kept safe and that you understand when to follow child protection procedures.
10. To support meal times within the setting.
