Nursery: Bright Horizons Bramingham Day Nursery and Preschool
Job Type: Full Time / Permanent / Mon-Fri / 40 hours
Salary: £10.17 - £10.75 per hour (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

What you’ll be doing
- Consistently deliver and plan rich learning opportunities and exceptional care that helps all children to develop and meets their individual needs
- Make accurate and effective assessments which reflect the needs, interests and stages of development of the child by effective delivery of the key person approach. Collate this information to contribute to Support plan reviews and or EHCP’s
- Ensure effective communication with the setting SENDCO and support collaboration between the setting, professionals and parents.
- Ensuring an enabling environment is providing consistent stimulating and inspiring activities for the children in both the indoor and outdoor area as a continuous provision
- Ensure children have the appropriate equipment and resourced to support the children’s SEND needs
- Promote inclusion and relationships with children with or without SEND
- Meet physical, sensory, emotional or communication needs as required whilst encouraging independence
- Ensure that British Values are incorporated and demonstrated through Early Years Foundation Stage learning and play
- Safeguard and promote the health, safety and welfare of children in line with our child protection and keeping everyone safe policies and procedures
- Ensure internal policies and procedures are adhered whilst also meeting the external legislation and guidelines from our governing bodies
- Promote and follow guidelines implemented for supporting behaviour including supporting children to manage their own feelings and behaviours
- Continually work in partnership with colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals to meet the individual needs of the children ensuring a diverse and inclusive approach is maintained at all times
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication at all levels
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions for continuous professional development
- Attend training sessions specific to the children with SEND for continuous professional development and cascade this to the wider team

What we’re looking for
- Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
- Previous experience working with children (ideally as a Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nursery Assistant or similar)
- Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
- Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
- Ability to use a variety of techniques to clearly and successfully communicate with both children and adults
- Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
