Ipswich Hospital is currently seeking an Early Years Practitioner to join their team for the next 12 weeks. The trust will consider either full or part time working, and the successful candidate must be flexible to work Monday to Friday between the hours of 7am and 6pm (various shift options available).

About the Trust
East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT) provides a full range of services across 2 main hospitals, 6 community hospitals and within the local community including maternity, cardiac and major accident, and emergency (A&E) services. What you will be responsible for
· Care for the physical and emotional needs of each child, showing an understanding of children’s needs in the early years.
· Help create a happy and loving atmosphere in which each child can develop as an individual, through play and learning life skills.
· Create and develop a stimulating environment to meet the needs of individual children, being aware of the needs of different age groups in line with The Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS).
· Prepare snacks and be aware of allergies and special diets etc.
The role will involve, but not limited to you performing the above.
You will have the following qualification/experience:
· A minimum of 6 months paid experience as a Nursery Nurse or Early Years Practitioner within the last 3 years.
· Experience of working with children aged 4 months to 5 years of age.
· NNEB/ BTEC or NVQ level 2/ 3 or equivalent.
· Food Hygiene Certificate.
· Child Safeguarding Training.
· Knowledge of Child development. Planning for individual children and group activities.
· Undertake regular mandatory training*
*Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.
