Job description
Support Person / Care Assistant
Working as part of a team of Staff providing support to a high-performing senior citizen/author under the supervision of the Lead Care Person. You need to be a person who pays attention to details and can follow written procedures and instructions.
We will provide you with the training needed to perform your tasks. You do not need to have previous experience in the field.
The job is procedure driven. The procedures are all written in English. Qualifications for the job include: Competent in reading and speaking English; effective communication skills; can concentrate for periods when needed; is not afraid to learn a few basic computer skills; is comfortable working closely with others and able to get along with other Staff members and communicate honestly about your own view.
Some of the daily procedures include:
· Preparing materials and items for the Senior Care Person to use with the person cared for.
· Putting out and recording the medications and supplements taken.
· Keeping inventories of supplies to be used in taking care of the person being cared for, and reordering supplies as needed.
· Setting up the materials for the Senior Care Person to serve breakfast and to serve dinner.
· Light errands.
· Making very high-quality Japanese tea per the available procedure.
· Completing your day by setting up your next day’s activities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £11.00-£11.95 per hour
