Due to our continued growth our Research & Development (R&D) team are continuing to expand and we have an exciting opportunity for a full-time permanent NPD Assistant to join the R&D team. This position involves working at both our Great Yarmouth and Norwich sites.

The NPD Assistant will work alongside the Snack Creations and Pasta Foods' R&D team and will conduct preparation and/or execution of Pilot Plant trials of pasta and snack extrusions to launch high quality products for our customers. They will help in analysis evaluation of raw materials and finished products to develop and successfully launch products on time.

The main duties of the role include (but are not limited) to the following;

- Conduct the preparation and/or execution of Pilot Plant trials of pasta and snack extrusions.

- Responsible to order and sort all stock of raw materials in weighing room, including analysis and shelf life.

- Accountable for controlling stock of finished products that are maintained as samples in the NPD lab, as well as, sending and managing customer samples required from Great Yarmouth site within agreed timeframe.

- Support the NPD Technologists with assessment and analysis of laboratory extrusions and factory trials, to evaluate process.

- Keep all paperwork in good order including record of all trials and experimental data as well as following the stage gate process of each project.

- Ensure workplace is clean and tidy – all housekeeping tasks needed to the NPD lab.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent team player with the ability to work independently, who is used to working to strict deadlines in pressured situations. You must possess excellent customer service skills coupled with good IT skills.
