The Rectory is a 15-bedroom boutique hotel with an exclusive 3 bed cottage and a secluded outdoor swimming pool all set in manicured grounds. It boasts a beautiful glasshouse serving the best freshly cooked, local produce from our team of experienced chefs with Michelin restaurant background, a well-stocked bar offering the most up to date cocktails and wines in tastefully decorated public areas including drawing rooms and cosy dining rooms.
We are looking for a front of house assistant to join our team. This is as an important role, as you will be the hotel representative to all our delightful guests until the end of their stay.
We need a hardworking, outgoing and confident individual who can take great pride in this important role. You must be able to manage your time efficiently, work unsupervised and feel comfortable in a fast-paced environment with minimum two years’ experience in the role.
Knowledge of food, wine and cocktails needed, however we pride ourselves in training and developing the right candidate to the desired level.
Work patterns are shift based, working 5 days on a 7-day rota to include evenings and weekends.
A stone’s throw away from the hotel is our sister establishment the Potting Shed Pub, serving fantastic honest British food, again locally sourced, but geared to the fun and fast paced vibe of a high-end pub. It’s a busy environment, with a great energy that is genuinely brilliant fun to be part of.
The pub and hotel share the same ethos of serving the highest quality with the best hospitality and genuinely care about each and every guest’s experience. There is an obvious different vibe between the two sites, but the teams of both businesses are young, energetic and work fantastically together.
The physical geography of the businesses and their natural overlap allow individual team members the opportunity to work between the two operations, facilitating variety but more importantly the possibility for rapid progression within the group that goes hand in hand with increasing experience and exposure to the two different working environments.
